Mineral (Natural) Magnesium Hydroxide 
Natural magnesium hydroxide is produced by physically crushing brucite ore; it is low in cost but has limited purity and contains较多 impurities. It is primarily used in cost‑sensitive applications such as common plastic and rubber fillers, as well as medium- and low‑voltage cables—areas where flame retardancy requirements are not particularly high.

 

Synthetic Magnesium Hydroxide 
Synthetic magnesium hydroxide is produced via chemical precipitation using brine or seawater as raw materials. It boasts high purity, few impurities, and controllable particle morphology. Although its price is relatively high, it offers excellent performance and is widely used in the flame‑retardant layers of high‑end engineering plastics, high‑speed rail cables, and high‑voltage cables for new energy vehicles—particularly in specialized fields with stringent requirements for heavy metal content.
